A hike in the snow
The British Columbia Highway #23 takes us further along the lake until the highway ends at a ferry again. This time the crossing takes about half an hour. Shortly before Revelstoke we change to the Trans-Canada-Highway #1 and drive directly into Mount Revelstoke National Park. At the entrance house the Park Ranger tells us that there is still snow at the end of the Meadows in the Sky Highway and therefore only one parking place is open. Because of the snow, the Shuttlebus can’t go from the parking lot to the top. As we follow the highway uphill, we can understand why the highway is called Meadows in the Sky. At the top we walk through some snow fields to the top.
There we go some little round hikes and enjoy the nature before we return to our camper. On the way down to Revelstoke we stop a few more times to enjoy the panoramic view. Arriving in Revelstoke we follow the British Columbia Highway #23 to Martha Creek Provincial Park.
